How to Build a Successful Hybrid Work Culture?

Hybrid work culture is here to stay! The Covid-19 pandemic has transformed the future of work, and we must keep ahead of the times or risk falling behind. The real question now is not if a hybrid workplace could succeed but, instead, how we can make it succeed. Allowing staff to work from home part of the time means you need less physical space. Consider reducing expensive office space instead of reworking a smaller area to be flexible (e.g., hot desks and a booking system that will control the amount of staff coming into the office and using the reduced space at once.)

Though it may be easier to professionally support in-office workers because you can meet them face-to-face, you must ensure that you do not neglect remote workers. You can do this by bringing the employee experience to life digitally. For instance, using a single platform for collaboration (e.g., mobile intranet, messaging apps, or social channels) will help to enhance productivity and engagement. Enable your hybrid team to work together in real-time and encourage the use of online learning platforms. Consider also planning virtual onboarding experiences for new team members similar to a physical office orientation program so that they can get to know the office area and day-to-day company culture while working from home. Creating processes designed explicitly for hybrid work cultures will help your employees feel connected, even when working from different locations, making collaboration easier and your team more efficient. This can be as simple as taking learnings from previously existing remote work options and converting them into policies for a hybrid work model.
